Role: Social & Community Manager, Devices & Services (full-time)
Challenge:
The Google Pixel Instagram account had a highly engaged community (#TeamPixel), but lacked a consistent, large-scale activation that encouraged sustained participation over time. The team needed a campaign that would:
Drive daily engagement and repeat visits to the Instagram account.
Surface fresh user-generated content (UGC) for the brand to highlight.
Strengthen sentiment around Pixel’s camera, a huge differentiator and motivator for joining #TeamPixel
What I Did:
Helped concept and launch the #30DaysOfPixel campaign: a month-long Instagram Stories activation with daily creative prompts designed to spark photography and storytelling from Pixel users.
Developed campaign copy and creative direction, including Story frames, feed posts, and call-to-action messaging.
Built an integrated UGC pipeline: submissions collected via link-in-bio and surfaced for potential re-posting on @GooglePixel.
Managed real-time community engagement: monitored submissions, highlighted top creators, and ensured brand tone stayed celebratory and inclusive.
Coordinated with cross-functional teams (design, community, and legal) to align campaign flow, approval processes, and social amplification.
Impact:
Sustained 30 days of daily engagement with the community through Instagram Stories.
Drove significant increases in Story participation and UGC submissions compared to baseline campaigns.
Elevated #TeamPixel by spotlighting community members directly on the @GooglePixel feed, deepening loyalty and recognition.
Strengthened the brand’s creative identity by positioning Pixel not just as a phone, but as a replacement for professional cameras.
